Gregg & Kay Tate

Gregg & Kay Tate are from Charleston, SC in the United States, where their home church is Cathedral of Praise. Gregg is employed with the adidas Group and Kay is retired after working for many years for adidas. In 1998 they came to Germany to work. In 2003 Gregg was transferred to Hong Kong where they lived for a further six years before returning to Germany in 2010. Gregg and Kay have two sons and five grandchildren.

Gregg and Kay were founding members of an English language church which is now a bi-lingual church in Erlangen. While in Hong Kong both were part of the Praise Team while attending Evangelical Community Church. Kay also led a Bible Study in her home. For the past three years they have worshipped at the Chapel on the US Military base in Bamberg where they were active in the Praise Team.

Building God’s kingdom is a primary goal in their lives and they are accomplishing this by serving on Praise Teams and being involved in ministry wherever God leads them. Kay currently leads a Bible study in their home. The opportunity to be used by God in helping to establish an English language church in Erlangen is something they are both very excited about. God will do great things through Agape English Church and they feel blessed to be a part of it.

David & Morag Mathieson

David & Morag Mathieson first met when they were students involved in Christian youth work in the presbyterian church in their native Scotland.

Work has taken them to live in various parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and England before moving to Germany in 2003. In England they served on the worship team and as part of the church leadership of a new ecumenical church plant in Fleet, Hampshire.

On moving to Erlangen they quickly became involved in the music ministry and leadership team of an international church. They also hosted a home group and lead several study groups together.

Sharing God’s love with people in Erlangen, whether they are in the area for a short time or long term, really matters to them.  They are excited to be called to go on this adventure with God to connect with people from all over the world to build a community of Christians in Erlangen.
