Join us for worship on Sunday 25th May when our preacher will be Liam Smith.
Liam Smith has been in full time ministry for 15 years and oversees Destiny Ministries Europe. Working with several Churches – incl. Agape English Church- and Life Groups, Liam has a passion for the Kingdom and desires for each individual to come into the fullness of God’s plan for their life. He carries a prophetic edge which will encourage and challenge you to pursue God with all your heart.
Sunday 18th May will see us welcome guests from several different countries. We will have 4 students from Destiny College in Glasgow – all 4 are from different European countries, while our guest preacher and worship leader, Matt Huisjen, and his family hail from the USA.
Matt & Tina Huisjen met at Colorado State University, married in ’91, and have five kids: Madeline, Jesse, Toby, Bridget and Dustin. They serve with Cadence International, a mission to the American military. In 1998 with their 1-yr old child, they left Portland, OR, and came to Germany to direct the Bamberg Hospitality House, which they closed last Fall. In January, 2014, they began ministry at the Vilseck House, providing a home-away-from home for Soldiers and Families stationed in Vilseck, Germany, and offering Bible studies, weekend activities, discipleship, and chapel support. For mother’s day:
From Psalm 139
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Thank you God, you loved us before we were born, you know us even better than we know ourselves, your presence never leaves us and your love for us never ceases.
You are our God, our loving, nurturing God, who, like a mother, knows us intimately, loves us unconditionally, teaches us the way we should go, and comforts us in times of need.
Praise God, the Source and Sustainer of life!
Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated our first worship service together. It was great to have Susan von Hesse speak about the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead.
We meet every Sunday at 10:30am in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Erlangen and we’d love to see you there!
